Dr. Terra Johnston
About Terra: Chalet Point’s Founder and Principal, Dr. Terra Johnston (PhD, MSW, RSW) is an award-winning social researcher who specializes in health, education, and social service evaluation and research. Before launching Chalet Point, Terra worked in senior management positions with the Government of Manitoba, The Winnipeg School Division, and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Terra has over twenty years of demonstrated excellence in quantitative and qualitative research methods; program evaluation (outcome, process, cost/benefit analysis); survey design; performance reporting; knowledge translation; strategic communications; risk mitigation and change management; and local, provincial, and federal government relations.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Terra completed her PhD dissertation on children’s rights in Canada. She is passionate about translating evidence and research into user-friendly public education that will strengthen communities and enhance the lives of all. With a commitment to social justice, Terra loves to take on projects that will make a difference in the world.
